About the Job

This role is for an Assistant Analyst, Law Enforcement Response, focusing on processing and responding to government agency requests worldwide, with a particular emphasis on Japan-based matters. The position reports to the Associate Managing Paralegal, Law Enforcement Response, and requires a team player who embodies the Twilio Magic.

Responsibilities

  • Review and process Japanese police requests, including logging details and documents into an internal system.
  • Draft accurate, professional responses to law enforcement inquiries in Japanese and mail physical letter responses.
  • Receive and handle phone calls from Japanese law enforcement agents.
  • Respond to global government requests for information (subpoenas, court orders, search warrants, emergency disclosure requests) in accordance with Twilio's procedures, policies, and applicable law.
  • Assist with high-volume data and document management and other organizational projects.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline and improve inter- and intra-team processes and procedures.
  • Develop passions and skills.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Business-level fluency in both Japanese and English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as a self-starter on a geographically dispersed team, with good judgment for escalating issues.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace products, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel.
  • Willingness and ability to develop proficiency with unfamiliar digital tools and platforms.

Desired:

  • Prior experience handling or reviewing legal or law enforcement documents.
  • A sense of humor, enthusiasm for technology, and a desire to learn about Twilio’s products and services.
  • A short (no more than one page) cover letter describing interest in the position.

Travel

Occasional travel may be required for project or team in-person meetings.
