Ability to apply developed subject matter expertise to solve common and sometimes complex technical problems and recommend alternatives
Ability to exercise independent judgment and consult with others to determine best methods for accomplishing work and achieving objectives
Experience designing, analyzing, developing, modifying, and evaluating VLSI components and hardware systems
Experience with architecture and logic design, design verification through software for component and system simulation, and building physical implementations through multidimensional designs involving complex integrated circuit layouts
Ability to analyze designs to establish operating data, conduct experimental tests, evaluate results, and enable prototype and production VLSI solutions

Responsibilities

Provide technical expertise to a project team of Electronic and VLSI engineers along with development partners responsible for all stages of VLSI design and development for complex products, solutions, and platforms, including design, validation, and testing
Collaborate and communicate with management and internal partners regarding design status, project progress, and issue resolution
Represent the team for all phases of larger and more complex VLSI development projects
Participate as an independent member of project team of other VLSI engineers and internal and outsourced development partners to develop reliable, cost-effective, and high-quality solutions for VLSI prototypes and products
Provide guidance and mentoring to less experienced staff members
Define and architect high-performance blocks for the latest, most advanced networking ASICs
Perform micro-architecture and logic design to deliver maximum throughput while using minimum power
Collaborate with the verification team
