Requirements

  • Credentialed Veterinary Technician/Licensed Veterinary Nurse (LVT)
  • Ability to work 100% in clinic for 16 shifts per 4-week block (12 shifts at home clinic, 4 shifts at assigned training clinic site)
  • Proficiency in core clinical skills: administering anesthetics, preparing patients for surgery/dental procedures, monitoring patients during surgery/recovery, assisting in surgery/dental procedures, administering fluids, support therapy, irrigating wounds, medication administration, bandaging, performing clinical laboratory procedures, running in-house diagnostics, preparing lab samples, maintaining Idexx lab logs, taking hands-free radiographs, maintaining patient cleanliness and hospital environments, admitting/discharging patients, answering client questions within scope, preparing/administering/dispensing medications (including controlled substances with logging)

Responsibilities

  • Guide and inspire support team members through developmental activities
  • Assist clinic leadership in clinic performance, health, optimal patient care, medical quality standards, and operational efficiency
  • Develop and administer initiatives and training programs for clinics and company-wide
  • Advocate for support team members in clinic leadership discussions
  • Maintain high-quality patient care and lead by example as a nurse
  • Provide area support across approximately 3 clinics plus home clinic: train nursing staff and uphold medical quality metrics (Patient Care Index)
  • Assist Clinic Managers in nurse recruitment, hiring decisions, local recruitment endeavors, and recruitment events
  • Coordinate comprehensive onboarding for nursing team with clinic manager, including policies, procedures, and culture
  • Support new clinic launches: work with launch teams for near clinic openings and train new staff in Bond ways of working
  • Maintain skills checklist for upskilling and development
