Requirements

  • Onsite presence 5 days a week (Monday-Friday) in Sacramento, CA
  • Ability to oversee a team of Replenishment Leads, Buyers, and Operations Support Specialists
  • Experience managing replenishment buying and inventory management across categories (grocery, fresh, produce)
  • Capability to represent the Replenishment function on Area leadership staff with local and national sales leaders

Responsibilities

  • Own and manage all replenishment-related performance metrics for the Area
  • Actively engage in Area-level staff meetings on replenishment performance and issue resolution; represent replenishment and own all follow-ups
  • Drive improved performance on key metrics (Target Service Levels, Optimal DIOH, Spoilage & Inventory Adjustment, Freight Optimization) and provide timely updates
  • Serve as the single point of contact for service requests
  • Oversee all replenishment and inventory management activities in the Area
  • Oversee Area Buyers to manage inventory health (gap to target DIOH levels) and highlight issues to Replenishment COE
  • Oversee Area Buyers to ensure timely PO issuance to vendors using SOQ and optimal parameters
  • Work with buyer team to root cause and address major stock outs, anticipated shorts, and finalize recovery actions for long-term outages
  • Oversee Operations Support Specialists for timely PO updates/changes and escalations to transportation, DC operations, and merchandising teams
  • Work with Buyer team to resolve billing and costing discrepancies through CASIS
  • Provide local ownership and accountability for overall service performance and special events
  • Ensure Replenishment-related service requests are assigned timely and actioned within SLA; determine allocation priorities for constrained items
  • Support Area Sales events by ensuring preparedness and partnering with Sales and Merchandising on demand forecasts
  • Oversee major customer transitions (start-up, ramp-down) and assortment transitions, providing process expertise and cross-functional support
  • Triaging and resolving Area-specific service issues, such as acute/seasonal challenges (e.g., hurricanes)
