Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in UX Design, Interaction Design or Industrial Design
  • A minimum of 8+ years of professional experience in product design
  • Fluent in English (written and oral)
  • Uses participatory design activities (e.g. paper prototype co-creation, card sorting) to understand vision, business model and assumptions

Responsibilities

  • Lead, and perform user research, UX/UI design, visual design, and UX audit across the range of products by following a structured UX design process
  • Lead, and perform creation of design deliverables including user persona, scenarios, journey maps/workflows, UX requirements, information architecture, concept sketches, wireframes, visual designs, mockups & prototypes, and support design transfer activities in sync with release plans
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of Agile software development as well as Lean UX methodologies and troubleshoot the challenges of integrating UX into an Agile model
  • Develop understanding & expertise on GEHC’s design system (EDS) as well as the universal design principles and apply them consistently across the products, form factors, and static/dynamic/responsive designs criteria
  • Work directly with executives, senior product owners and architects globally to develop realistic product plans and releases that properly prioritize, scope and plan for UX research, design and testing
  • Work with product owners to understand market needs & vision; work with teams to quickly translate that vision into workflows, interactions and design concepts
  • Lead, coordinate and manage team discussions relative to UX. Independently lead design sprints, UX requirements definition sessions and design thinking workshops, and accurate scoping of the UX research and design work you will lead and perform
  • Work directly with clinical customers and users when possible, locally and around the world, to understand and validate clinical and operational needs, departmental workflows
  • Combine demonstrated creativity and refined knowledge of visual design and visual communications with very strong analytical reasoning and problem-solving approaches that align all product and design problems back the user’s goals and needs
  • Guide and help deliver effective documentation and communication of design - via personas, wireframes, mockups, workflows, interactive prototypes at low and high fidelity, user stories, data visualizations, written requirements, usability documentation and coded UI components
  • Work collaboratively with regional and global team of designers to fulfill the shared goals and aspirations of the digital UX “community of practice” and elevate design within the company
  • Work collaboratively with engineering & development teams for translating the design concepts into successful implementation and judiciously negotiate any tradeoffs involved
  • Communicate and coordinate effectively both with the immediate team, remote teams and leadership
