Requirements

Candidates should have a Master's or PhD in Computer Science with a specialization in machine learning or deep learning. A minimum of 2 years of coding experience in Python is required, along with 2 years of industry experience with model training and finetuning in PyTorch. Preferred qualifications include experience finetuning large foundation models such as wav2vec and HuBERT, as well as familiarity with automated testing and CI/CD concepts in machine learning workflows. A strong foundation in machine learning and data science, along with good communication and interpersonal skills, is essential.

Responsibilities

The Applied AI Engineer will train and finetune deep learning models in PyTorch based on new datasets and client requirements. They will be responsible for model monitoring and quality assurance for deployed models, as well as automating ML workflows and implementing continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) for client-facing models. The role also involves adopting standard model optimization and compression methods for inference speed-up, implementing model obfuscation and vulnerability checks, and collaborating with both AI and Engineering teams to address model and infrastructure needs and performance guidance.
