Requirements

Minimum 5 years of experience (3–9 years hands-on in firewall and load balancer operations)
15 years full-time education
Must have skills: Network Security Operations
Specialization in firewall management (Fortinet FortiGate) and load balancer administration (F5 or Palo Alto firewalls)
Strong understanding of firewall technologies (e.g., Fortinet FortiGate, Palo Alto)
Skilled with F5 load balancer administration
Understanding of security protocols (IPSec, SSL, NAT, VPNs, IDS/IPS)
Familiarity with log analysis and security monitoring tools
Exposure to ITSM tools for ticket and change tracking
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Ability to work in shift-based or on-call support environments
Effective communication and documentation capabilities
Team player with a proactive attitude
Any 2 of the following certifications: Fortinet Certified Expert, F5 Certification, Palo Alto Network Security Professional

Responsibilities

Provide L2 operational support for firewall and load balancer infrastructure
Administer and troubleshoot Fortinet FortiGate firewalls including security policies, NAT, VPNs, and threat protection
Manage and support F5 load balancers or Palo Alto firewalls, including configuration changes and routine maintenance
Monitor device health, logs, and alerts; escalate to L3 when required
Assist in policy reviews, rule cleanup, and compliance activities
VIP Creation and Certificate Renewals in F5
Support change management processes, including preparation and implementation of approved changes
Maintain accurate documentation for configurations, incidents, and standard operating procedures
