Requirements

  • 5-8 years of relevant, hands-on experience in a global Accounts Payable role with a focus on transactional processing and month-end close activities
  • Good, practical understanding of accounts payable principles, three-way matching, and general accounting concepts
  • Proactive, solution-oriented mindset with the ability to identify and implement effective resolutions for transactional issues
  • Strong analytical skills to manage and interpret AP data
  • Strong technological proficiency (e.g., in relevant AP systems)

Responsibilities

  • Execute end-to-end accounts payable lifecycle for high-volume transactions, from invoice receipt and verification to preparation for payment processing
  • Review and validate vendor invoices, Purchase Orders, and Travel & Expense (T&E) claims, verifying VAT/Tax rates, registration numbers, and applicability based on supplier jurisdiction
  • Ensure all invoice processing and transactions comply with internal AP policies, financial regulations, and internal controls
  • Maintain good understanding of Vendor Master Data to ensure controls and data integrity for payment and compliance
  • Execute routine disbursement processes, ensuring timely and accurate vendor invoice and T&E payment cycles
  • Assist in preparing and analyzing AP reports, including aging reports and vendor metrics, for management insights on cash flow, month-end close, and operational performance
  • Contribute to generating key operational metrics, such as Average Invoice Processing Time, Days Payable Outstanding, and First Pass Match Rate
  • Support internal and external audits by gathering and providing transactional documentation, explanations, and analysis
  • Serve as primary point of contact for internal stakeholders and external vendors to resolve complex transactional payment and invoice-related issues
  • Proactively identify opportunities to streamline routine AP processes and support implementation of new systems or technologies
  • Collaborate with teams like Treasury, Group Financial Control, and Legal Entity Control to address ad-hoc financial and operational challenges at a transactional level
