High school diploma
Experience working on a farm and/or with livestock
Experience working within a laboratory environment
Valid driver's license
Excellent communication and organization skills (written and verbal)
Ability to communicate at all levels
Good analytical skills
Computer literacy
Ability to multitask and prioritize workloads
Ability to work in a team environment
Excellent attention to detail
Dependability and reliability
Comfortable working in all weather conditions
Flexible due to the unpredictable nature of working with animals and on a farm
Able to lift up to 50 pounds +/-
Able to perform lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, reaching, twisting, turning
Able to walk on uneven, wet, slippery surfaces
Willing to work weekends as scheduled
Able to lift 40 lbs. without assistance
Able to stand for full shift
Adherence to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Safety Standards
Able to work in a laboratory setting with some degree of PPE (safety glasses, gowning, gloves, lab coat, ear plugs etc.)

Responsibilities

Providing high quality antisera
Ensuring all procedural work is carried out/delivered in line with the company's supply and operation process, including production, research and development, and design control requirements
Adhering to the quality policy and other relevant regulatory and governing bodies and company policies
Antisera processing
Collection of blood by plasmapheresis
Completion of relevant records
Antigen administration
Test bleeding
Weekly animal sorting for production activities
Care for and ensure the welfare of animals including but not limited to feeding, watering, bedding, and routine mucking
