Requirements

  • Experience working on a farm and/or with livestock
  • Experience working within a laboratory environment
  • Valid driver's license
  • Excellent communication and organization skills (written and verbal)

  • Willing to work weekends as scheduled
  • Able to lift 40 lbs. without assistance

  • Adherence to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Safety Standards
  • Able to work in a laboratory setting with some degree of PPE (safety glasses, gowning, gloves, lab coat, ear plugs etc.)

Responsibilities

  • Providing high quality antisera
  • Ensuring all procedural work is carried out/delivered in line with the company's supply and operation process, including production, research and development, and design control requirements
  • Adhering to the quality policy and other relevant regulatory and governing bodies and company policies
  • Antisera processing
  • Collection of blood by plasmapheresis
  • Completion of relevant records
  • Antigen administration
  • Test bleeding
  • Weekly animal sorting for production activities
  • Care for and ensure the welfare of animals including but not limited to feeding, watering, bedding, and routine mucking
