Strong CS fundamentals with BS Computer Science degree OR equivalent combination of experience and education
3+ years of experience in developing Android mobile applications in an industry setting
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Native app development experience in Kotlin

Knowledge of modern Android frameworks and architecture (e.g. Jetpack Compose)

Responsibilities

Design, implement, launch and maintain critical user-facing features in an Android app that is core to Verily’s business, with opportunities for end-to-end and cross-platform feature development
Participate in code reviews, design reviews, and technical discussions
Collaborate extensively across engineering teams (mobile, BE, FE) and with cross-functional teams (e.g. UX, PM, Test, QE) to deliver high quality, regulated, and impactful software
Align with iOS engineers to ensure cross-platform consistency, and find opportunities to improve mobile developer productivity
Work closely with Product, UX and Quality on defining requirements, designing mocks, and implementing regulatory protocols. Help all functions understand engineering tradeoffs to ensure smooth implementation across the system
