Requirements

  • 4 years of experience in Android Development with Kotlin
  • Hands-on experience with Android test frameworks: Espresso, Jetpack Compose Testing, JUnit; mocking with MockK (or Mockito)
  • CI/CD experience for Android (Gradle, test sharding/parallelization) and running tests on cloud device farms
  • Strong debugging skills using logs, crash reports, and network inspection; able to isolate issues across app layers and environments
  • Strong communication skills in English

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain native test automation (UI and integration tests) using Espresso, Jetpack Compose Testing (ComposeTestRule), BDD with Cucumber (Xray integration), JUnit, and MockK
  • Evolve testing foundations: Define conventions, utilities, fixtures, and deterministic data for reliable, maintainable tests to reduce flakiness and speed up feedback
  • Wire test suites into Gradle/GitHub Actions (or similar) with sharding/parallelization; operate runs on device farms (e.g., Firebase Test Lab)
  • Use observability tools (logs, crash reporting, network inspection) for debugging, triaging issues quickly, and validating fixes with developers
  • Build Android features in Kotlin using modern patterns (e.g., Jetpack Compose, MVVM, Coroutines/Flow, DI with Hilt/Dagger), write clean, testable code
  • Collaborate with Product/Design for UX fidelity, participate in code reviews, contribute to maintainable architecture and coding standards
  • Produce traceable, auditable test artifacts and follow privacy-by-design practices for regulated products
