Candidates must possess expert-level SQL and strong Python or JavaScript abilities for data transformation and tool development. Proven experience implementing data governance or event instrumentation processes (e.g., Segment, GA4, Mixpanel) is required. Expertise in data pipeline and ETL/ELT design and maintenance using frameworks like dbt, Airflow, Talend, or similar is necessary. Proficiency with web scraping technologies and libraries, along with the ability to orchestrate automated scraping workflows, is essential. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to break down complex problems and translate stakeholder needs into clean, documented data solutions are required. Excellent collaboration and communication skills to bridge terminology between technical and business stakeholders are also necessary.
The Analytics Engineer will design, implement, develop, and maintain scalable governance frameworks to ensure the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of user-event data. Responsibilities include collaborating cross-functionally to define tracking strategies, conducting audits, and enforcing best practices for user behavior data governance. They will build, test, and deploy internal data tools and dashboards using JavaScript or Python, developing automated data pipelines, user-friendly analytics interfaces, and self-service solutions. The role also involves architecting and maintaining automated web-scraping systems to gather competitor insights, ensuring solutions are efficient, robust, and compliant. Additionally, the engineer will apply statistical methods or machine learning models to unlock business value, such as forecasting user behavior, predicting churn, or optimizing product features.
