Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the development of study-specific documents (e.g., study protocol, study plans, and tracking tools)
  • Support site selection by collaborating with the project manager and client to assess potential sites' interest, experience, and capacity to participate in the study
  • Establish site contracts by collaborating with the contracts manager, legal department, and sites to ensure contracts are executed within timelines
  • Prepare submissions to ethics committees/IRBs and liaise with these bodies, respond to questions on study design, and ensure review timelines are minimized
  • Set up and train site staff, prepare study materials, plan regular update meetings, and ensure sites complete regular study tasks such as accessing the electronic data capture (EDC) platform for data entry, and ensure full compliance with study requirements
  • Anticipate and resolve critical issues related to subject recruitment, such as ensuring sites have adequate recruitment materials and access to the EDC platform
  • Communicate regularly with sites, investigators, and clients
  • Support the project manager in delivering projects for pharmaceutical industry clients, governments, and academic centers in Canada, focusing on retrospective and prospective real-world studies
  • Work across the full study continuum, from initiation, investigator meetings, client calls, data collection, to study closeout
