Requirements

  • Analytical and meticulous
  • Minimum 2 to 3 years in a similar role in Banking/Financial/Insurance industry
  • Computer literate and proficient user of MS Office applications, especially MS Excel and MS PowerPoint
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload
  • Proficient in English – reading, writing and speaking
  • Ability & flexibility to work in a non-standardized environment with occasional variables
  • Self-motivated team player with ability to take initiative
  • Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines and SLA requirements
  • Able to work night shift (rotation shift)
  • Sanctions compliance knowledge
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Microsoft Suite of products (Word, PowerPoint, Project, etc.) skills
  • Ability to work in a matrix organization

Responsibilities

  • Perform investigations of data based on the information provided in Sanctions Screening application
  • Perform sanctions and Politically Exposed Persons (“PEPs”) screening of potential match review
  • Adjudicate potential matches
  • Document the rationale for the potential match resolution
  • Apply reason codes pertaining to the potential match
  • Alert Regional Sanctions Processing Leads of any system anomalies, deficiencies and/or backlogs
  • Identify all breaches of the standards in the Statement
  • Identify all breaches of the AIG Economic Sanctions Compliance Policy
  • Co-ordinate requests for exemptions from the screening requirements
  • Participate in periodic training sessions
  • Meet the Quality Assurance requirements and SLAs to support the business and Corporate Function
