Requirements

Candidates should have experience as a QA in software development projects, knowledge of different testing techniques including functional, regression, and exploratory testing, and experience with API and web services testing. Familiarity with relational and/or NoSQL databases, the ability to write test cases and test scenarios, and experience with defect management tools like Jira are required. Knowledge of agile methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban, strong teamwork and independent work capabilities, and good communication and problem-solving skills are also necessary. Experience or knowledge with test automation (UI, API, integration), CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI), and performance and load testing are considered differentials.

Responsibilities

The Junior Quality Assurance Analyst will participate in the creation and execution of test plans to ensure software quality across various platforms, perform manual and exploratory testing to identify bugs and flaws, and participate in the development and maintenance of test automation scripts. They will collaborate with the development team to identify the root cause of bugs and implement solutions, document test results, report defects clearly, and actively participate in the agile development process. The role also involves analyzing product requirements, providing feedback on quality and testability, and staying updated on best practices and trends in software testing.
