Requirements
- Love anime and the anime aesthetic
- Expertise in anime combined with deep learning for state-of-the-art anime models
- Understand diffusion models or ability to get up to speed quickly
- Experience as an AI researcher comfortable experimenting and designing massive models
- Proficient in PyTorch (and possibly JAX)
- Enjoy tight loop between research and production
- Comfortable working on small, fast-paced teams
- Preference for on-site collaboration in Tokyo (Akihabara) or San Francisco (visa sponsorship available)
Responsibilities
- Design and develop large-scale diffusion models with primary focus on images
- Work on secondary modalities like 3D, text, video, and audio
- Push boundaries of AI and anime in collaboration with human artists for videogames
- Develop game-ready models and deploy regular quality updates to niji・journey
- Work closely with internal studio and research team using large PyTorch and JAX codebases
