Requirements

  • Good understanding of the Affordability rules under which regulated lenders are expected to assess consumers including the Consumer Credit Act and the FCA handbook
  • Able to strategise about what current and new data sources could be used to enhance the accuracy of affordability assessments and to establish new approaches
  • Product Management experience
  • Knowledge of the available data sources relevant to the assessment of affordability for the purpose of consumer credit lending
  • Proven experience in leading Product Innovation execution
  • Experience in credit reference data and open banking data
  • Experience of the lenders JTBD in the risk and affordability decision flows for both new and existing customers
  • Awareness of relevant regulation and regulators (FCA / PRA)
  • Understanding and experience across financial services
  • Ideally experienced in working with data, products and services within the Financial Services Domain

  • Specialising in the consumer lending market, requiring specialist understanding of the industry and data used within it
  • Focusing on extracting value, benefits, features and functionality translating into client and customer value

  • Supporting go-to market plans and marketing campaigns for specific products
  • Innovating and challenging the status quo as the market evolves to new legislation
