Requirements
Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
Proficiency in aerodynamic simulation tools and techniques, such as Missile Datcom, Xfoil, OpenVSP, XFLR5, and/or STAR-CCM+
Strong foundation in fluid dynamics and aerodynamic principles, with experience optimizing vehicle performance
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Responsibilities
Perform airflow analysis and provide insight into the aerodynamic performance of various vehicle platforms, including air-breathing aircraft and missiles
Use computational tools, hand calculations, and testing methods to optimize vehicle shapes for performance metrics such as drag reduction, stability, and fuel efficiency
Contribute to the design and development of airframe geometries from first principles, ensuring designs align with mission requirements
Support wind tunnel and flight testing campaigns, analyze test data, and refine designs based on results
Work closely with propulsion, structures, and systems teams to integrate aerodynamic considerations into overall vehicle design
