Requirements

Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
Entry-level designation into the Clinical Advancement Program (CAP)
Basic understanding of nursing principles and patient care practices
Ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team

Responsibilities

Performs ongoing assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation of patient care
Documents patient data and makes adjustments to treatment plans as needed
Collects and analyzes patient data pre-during-post treatment
Provides initial and ongoing patient and family education
Recognizes and reports deviations from normal patient status
Directs and provides safe effective patient care
Assesses daily assigned patient care needs
Implements, administers, monitors, and documents patient response to prescribed intradialytic transfusions
Administers medications as prescribed and documents medical justification
Initiates and assists with emergency response measures
Communicates with Fresenius Kidney Care and other dialysis providers
Collaborates with the kidney disease healthcare team
Provides resource support to the healthcare team
Participates in staff training and orientation
Works under the direction of the Supervisor and with guidance from the Educator, Preceptor, or in collaboration with another Registered Nurse
Assists with implementation of Fresenius Kidney Care policies and procedures
