Requirements

  • Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
  • Entry-level designation into the Clinical Advancement Program (CAP)
  • Basic understanding of nursing principles and patient care practices
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team

Responsibilities

  • Performs ongoing assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation of patient care
  • Documents patient data and makes adjustments to treatment plans as needed
  • Collects and analyzes patient data pre-during-post treatment
  • Provides initial and ongoing patient and family education
  • Recognizes and reports deviations from normal patient status
  • Directs and provides safe effective patient care
  • Assesses daily assigned patient care needs
  • Implements, administers, monitors, and documents patient response to prescribed intradialytic transfusions
  • Administers medications as prescribed and documents medical justification
  • Initiates and assists with emergency response measures
  • Communicates with Fresenius Kidney Care and other dialysis providers
  • Collaborates with the kidney disease healthcare team
  • Provides resource support to the healthcare team
  • Participates in staff training and orientation
  • Works under the direction of the Supervisor and with guidance from the Educator, Preceptor, or in collaboration with another Registered Nurse
  • Assists with implementation of Fresenius Kidney Care policies and procedures
