Requirements

  • Ability to manage 25+ direct clinical reports across 3 locations

Responsibilities

  • Manage tactical execution of short- and long-term objectives, including costs, methods, and staffing
  • Monitor costs/spending in areas like medical supply inventory, personnel, and accounts payable; innovate ways to reduce costs while maintaining quality
  • Ensure proper staffing and operations at all contracted facilities, including efficient staff/patient scheduling and safe environment
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and development plans for direct reports; partner with HR on employee matters
  • Hire, coach, counsel, conduct performance reviews, discipline, and terminate employees as needed
  • Act as advisor to subordinates for schedules and technical problem resolution
  • Demonstrate technical proficiency in the department, knowledge of industry practices, business principles, and current trends
  • Review profit and loss statements for department performance
  • Manage Acute Care Electronic System (ACES)
  • Respond, resolve, and follow up on customer service issues timely
  • Collaborate with contracted facility representatives for survey readiness (internal/external agencies) and resolve survey-related issues
  • Maintain and prepare QAI data and presentations; participate/present at meetings
  • Assure provision of facility-specific QAI information
  • Interact with internal departments and external customers for problem resolution, acting as industry expert
  • Ensure compliance with hospital regulations; participate in TJC, CMS, OSHA, and other agency surveys
  • Ensure proper orientation and training program for clinical/technical staff, including continuing in-services; maintain training documentation
  • Conduct and document regular acute staff meetings
  • Ensure provision of dialysis and related services (hemoperfusion, apheresis, continuous renal replacement therapies, peritoneal dialysis, UF complete) if contracted
  • Ensure treatment information is documented appropriately and oversee timely/accurate billing
  • If appropriately licensed, perform treatments during high census, staffing shortages, or to manage staffing
