Requirements

  • Active license in Acupuncture (L.Ac, DAIM, DAOM) in CA
  • Strong knowledge and deep understanding of Traditional Chinese Medicine including acupuncture, herbology, cupping, moxibustion
  • Working knowledge and understanding of female health "medical" diagnoses and ability to translate them into TCM and integrative medicine thinking
  • Facile with technology and able to complete timely documentation using custom platform
  • Compassionate, trauma-informed, body literate approach with integrity, holistic and personalized care
  • Ability to compassionately listen to patient problems, develop collaborative care plans, conduct referrals, counsel on herbs/supplements/lifestyle modifications, and ensure patient comprehension/compliance
  • Demonstrate composure under pressure, handle emotional load of up to 3 patients per hour without showing burden
  • Skilled at cross-functional collaboration with allopathic providers, primary care, wellness, mental health, and psychiatric teams
  • Incorporate new and evolving research into practice and teaching
  • Adaptable in a startup environment, tolerant, inclusive, sex-positive, no-judgment mindset

Responsibilities

  • Work committed 18 hours/week (6-hour shifts, 3 times a week, any day with Friday preference) and maintain consistent schedule to support patient caseload
  • Provide excellent acupuncture services, delivering up to 3 sessions per hour
  • Develop collaborative treatment plans and conduct appropriate referrals as needed
  • Complete timely documentation using custom platform for accurate medical records
  • Weave TCM/integrative medicine perspective into educational offerings
  • Collaborate with allopathic providers and integrative acupuncture team
  • Deliver one-on-one highly-tailored acupuncture treatments addressing physical, emotional, and behavioral health aspects
