Requirements

  • BA/BS degree
  • Passed a minimum of four Society of Actuaries (SOA) actuarial exams
  • Minimum of 3 years related experience, or any combination of education and experience providing an equivalent background
  • Reside within a reasonable commuting distance from the office location(s), with in-office presence 1-2 days per week (unless accommodation granted as required by law)

Responsibilities

  • Analyzes and implements risk contracts, including conducting experience analyses, pricing, filing, and settlement work
  • Prepares management reports supporting new capitation initiatives
  • Assists in training of actuarial trainees, analysts, and specialists
  • Coordinates/directs special actuarial projects
  • Completes very diverse and complicated projects and performs very complex actuarial studies
