Requirements

  • Degree in accounting with at least 6 years of accounting experience
  • Knowledge of policies and procedures, initiative, leadership, excellent analytical skills, problem solving, good judgment, and superior communication skills
  • Accounting skills and strong knowledge of Payments activities
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to deal with highly sensitive issues, develop others, or persuade others inside and outside the department
  • SAP experience preferred
  • Flexibility to work in US shifts
  • Ability to work a 5-day-a-week schedule in the office (preference for Whitefield Office, Bangalore, India)

Responsibilities

  • Manage the Invoice to Pay (ITP) process and work with the service provider for monitoring and delivering services
  • Minimize risk exposure by ensuring compliance with policies and procedures for the Invoice to Pay process
  • Coordinate with the service provider for accounting vendor invoices, grief resolution, and timely payments
  • Monitor the quality of deliverables by reviewing vendor invoices accounted in SAP
  • Perform quality audits to validate the accuracy of vendor invoice accounting and vendor payments
  • Monitor invoice grief and payment grief for timely resolution and follow the governance process for escalations
  • Monitor service deliverables through designated systems and tools, and be conversant with interactive dashboards to analyze and derive insights for discussion with the service provider
  • Review payable reconciliations for aged balances and coordinate with the service provider and business units for resolution
  • Utilize various computerized systems to accumulate and process data and identify process improvement opportunities within Trade & Exchange to improve compliance efficiency
  • Perform financial/decision support accounting work that supports business processes, developing an expanded understanding of Caterpillar’s business, accounting practices, systems, and procedures
