Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accountancy or Finance
  • At least 1-2 years of working experience in accounts payable
  • Experience working in a multinational company setting is an advantage
  • Proficiency in Oracle, MS Office, Word, and Excel
  • Knowledge of accounting and related principles and standards
  • Some experience in the use of accounting systems
  • Detail-oriented, with good problem-solving skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Prepares, records, verifies, and pays vendor invoices for goods and services on a timely basis and responds to vendor queries
  • Maintains, analyzes, and reconciles accounts payable ledger accounts, financial statements, and reports
  • Develops, directs, plans, and evaluates accounts payable policies and procedures, and ensures external and internal controls and policies are adhered to
  • Processes employee expense reimbursement requests for payment
  • Performs accurate and timely end-to-end processing of vendor invoices and other payment requests
  • Performs accurate and timely closing activities (monthly and yearly) as well as the weekly pay run
  • Organizes and properly maintains documentation to make it available to anyone
  • Provides support to team members when required as well as to the R2R team to maintain an up-to-date and fully explained purchase ledger
  • Provides a professional and effective service to the business as well as to vendors
  • Initiates ideas on ways to improve/automate manual and time-consuming tasks
  • Ensures strong, clear, and timely communication to the end user community on changes
