Comfortable and available to work hybrid in office at 15955 La Cantera Pkwy San Antonio, TX 78256 2-3 days per week (Mondays and Fridays work from home)
Senior level expertise in analyzing, recording, and/or reviewing complex accounting transactions
Knowledge of US GAAP and ability to ensure compliance and adherence to control environment
Ability to perform and review complex account reconciliations for completeness, accuracy, and conformance
Capability to interpret accounting principles as they relate to the business, understand business needs, research and identify processes for new requirements
Proficiency in preparing journal entries, financial projections, and documentation
Experience with technical research on accounting issues and implementing solutions based on materiality
Strong analytical skills to identify anomalies in financial statements and interrelationships in transactions
Ability to work with limited supervision and self-directed workflow
Lead responsibilities including reviewing staff work, establishing priorities, mentoring others, and leading special projects
Skills in process improvement and coordination with operations, FP&A, accounting management, and business owners

Responsibilities

Lead general accounting activities: perform/review activities to support Vericast businesses, interpret accounting principles, research processes for new business needs, communicate with business and teams
Perform complex account reconciliations and review staff-level work
Ensure compliance with US GAAP and control environment; provide technical research support and prepare projections of accounting data effects
Mentor and develop other accounting staff
Month-end close: analyze, classify, record, and review complex transactions; manage performance to close calendar; prepare/review journal entries with documentation; identify/review issues and implement solutions; coordinate with business owners for proper reflection and cutoff
Financial reporting & analytics: perform analytics on financial statements to identify anomalies; compile/review documentation for quarterly/annual reporting and disclosures; support GAAP and disclosure checklists
Audit support: coordinate internal/external audits with financial/non-financial resources; ensure documentation aligns with financial statement balances
