Candidates must have at least 5 years of experience as a district, regional, or territory manager selling directly to farmers or through a dealer network. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, sensitivity to farmer issues, and knowledge of agricultural inputs like crop protection and seed are required. Experience in farming, production agriculture, retail, or input sales is necessary, along with comfort with technology and ideally precision Ag Systems. A background in agronomy and/or territory management, including the use of agronomic data, is also needed. The ability to adhere to legal and safety procedures is essential.
The Territory Manager will recruit farmers and ensure high grower satisfaction by providing a seamless crop input transaction experience. This includes achieving chemical sales goals, understanding grower input needs, forecasting sales, and developing a territory business plan. Responsibilities also involve promoting data collection from farmers for customized crop plans, organizing sales events, representing FBN at trade shows, and recruiting, training, and managing territory Community Builders. The role supports a specific territory, recruits farmers to the network, and helps them access FBN Direct for purchasing crop inputs.
