  • Ability to work and operate equipment safely and effectively
  • Ability to use time wisely while working independently
  • Willingness to function as part of a team and work toward team goals
  • Good observation skills and attention to detail, eager to learn new ideas
  • Willingness to work overtime and be called into work for emergencies as required
  • Must be willing to adhere to and support all company policies, programs, guidelines, and standards of conduct
  • 6 months of production or farm experience preferred
  • Rehire Consideration: Max of two (2) previous Tyson Employments to be considered for hire. 90 days (3 months) waiting period

Responsibilities

  • Read water meters
  • Pick up daily mortality
  • Check for proper equipment operations
  • Ensure birds have water and feed
  • Ensure all equipment is functional
  • Prepare houses for new chick arrival & placement of new chicks
  • Prepare houses for bird load-out and reconditioning
  • Master and practice essential farm animal husbandry
  • Outdoor duties include mowing, grass trimming, snow removal
  • Adhere to all Animal Welfare Standards and biosecurity program regulations
  • Other duties as assigned
