Requirements

  • 3 months operator/driver's work experience within the last 12 months (can be a combination of employers)
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Must have valid state issued driver's license
  • Have no DWI/DUI conviction within the past 12 months
  • Must have fewer than 4 points according to the Tyson Yard Driver Evaluation System
  • Must be willing to submit to the non-DOT disclosure and release form to obtain MVR
  • Must be able to lift, pull, and/or push up to 50 pounds
  • Must have good verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation

Responsibilities

  • Completing initial safety check/inspection of the yard truck and documenting it on the inspection form
  • Constant communication with the supervisor and receiving team to understand trucks that need to be backed in and out of the receiving dock
  • Monitoring the radio constantly and responding immediately to requests from supervisor or shipping & receiving team members
  • Assisting receiving team members unload trailers as needed
  • Timely communication with the supervisor about any issues during the shift
  • Performing any other duties as assigned/requested by Supervisor
