  • Ability to adapt to job duty and department changes
  • DOT qualified with a current Class A CDL
  • Ability to back 48’ and 53’ trailers proficiently
  • Acceptable driving record (MVR)
  • Physical abilities: seeing, color perception, hearing/listening, clear speech, climbing, ability to mount & dismount forklift/truck, driving, hand/finger dexterity, ability to move distances within & between warehouses/offices, lifting 70 pounds, carrying 30 pounds, pushing/pulling, touching
  • Mental/Reasoning abilities: reading - simple, writing - simple, basic math skills, judgment/decision making

Responsibilities

  • Move trailers in and out of doors at DC and place them in spots on yard
  • Transport trailers between off-site locations
  • Perform required trailer switches under direction of department manager and team leaders (most switches are urgent and critical)
  • Perform daily inspections of yard equipment and report all defects; ensure units are maintained in a safe manner
  • Perform general warehouse duties as needed, including loading and unloading of trailers and use of forklift type equipment
