Candidates should be as passionate about explaining principles of cybersecurity as about cybersecurity itself, proficient in topics such as incident response, network scanning tools, vulnerability assessments, Kali Linux, pCAP and log analysis, as well as basic Python and Powershell scripting, and possess proficiency with cybersecurity related tools/technologies including WireShark, Nessus, Nmap/Kali Linux, Splunk, Snort, Pfense, Aircrack, and Cai.
The Waitlist Mentor will provide 1-1 guidance to students in the Cyber Security Career Track, conducting biweekly 30-minute check-ins to discuss questions, projects, and career advice, and communicating with students outside of calls on an as-needed basis to support learning and career objectives, while also offering support from the student advisor and technical community manager.
