Requirements

  • BS (or above) in Accounting or Finance
  • CPA license
  • 10+ years of public/private accounting experience
  • Experience with SEC reporting for Registered Investment Companies
  • Experience with daily NAV striking funds and/or credit industry (preferred)
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to thrive in a team-based environment
  • Highly organized and proactive
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to work with various levels of management
  • Detail-oriented with strong work ethic; ability to multi-task, execute a wide range of assignments, and strong time management skills

Responsibilities

  • Day-to-day fund accounting, administration, and reporting for registered closed-end funds, interval funds, and separately managed accounts trading credit strategies
  • Work with internal and external teams to strike NAVs, validate corporate level activity, subscription and redemption activity, promote calculations, management fee calculations, NAV allocations, performance calculations, and corporate G&A
  • Oversee production of annual/semi-annual reports, N-PORT, N-CSR, and other recurring SEC filings for Registered Investment Companies
  • Handle all required fund regulatory reporting and disclosures in SEC filings
  • Ensure financial results are appropriately recorded in the fund’s financial statements
  • Coordinate and oversee external administrators, transfer agents, external auditors for year-end audits, and internal auditors for SOX compliance
  • Collaborate on producing Audit Committee and Board of Director materials
  • Approve expense allocations, operating expense budgets, vendor expense payments, and monitor budgeted versus actual expenses
  • Review financial information in investor letters, internal reporting, ad hoc analysis, and projects
  • Manage and review quarterly reporting deliverables to Blackstone
  • Prepare accounting policy memos for new transactions and analyze new accounting standards for impact on funds
  • Coordinate with technology teams to improve automation of manual processes
  • Communicate clear direction and vision to team members
  • Generate and execute creative solutions to challenges and new initiatives
  • Manage and mentor junior staff
  • Collaborate with internal teams including Tax, Acquisition, Portfolio Management, Asset Management, Legal & Compliance, Investor Client Services, local Finance, Technology, Private Wealth Solutions, and Treasury
