Requirements

  • Proven experience leading verification efforts for flight control or safety-critical control systems
  • Strong background in test planning and authoring test plans, procedures, and reports
  • Hands-on experience executing tests in HiL/SiL/rig environments and translating results
  • Solid grasp of requirements management and traceability through verification closure
  • Working knowledge of configuration management, defect tracking, and test data analysis
  • Familiarity with relevant aerospace/system safety standards and practices (e.g., ARP4754/ARP4761, DO-178, DO-254, DO-160) or similar safety-critical domains
  • Proficiency with scripting or test automation (e.g., Python, MATLAB/Simulink) and common data analysis workflows
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to lead cross-functional test efforts in a fast-paced environment
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (Aerospace, Electrical, Systems, or related) or equivalent experience

Responsibilities

  • Lead test strategy and planning for flight control systems across development phases and test environments (MiL/SiL/HiL, bench, iron bird/system rig, and flight test support)
  • Author, review, and maintain verification artifacts: test plans, procedures, cases, scripts, reports, and coverage analyses
  • Ensure full requirements traceability and verification closure; manage test readiness and entry/exit criteria
  • Coordinate and schedule test campaigns; manage configuration, baselines, and change control for test assets
  • Develop automated and manual tests; define data collection, analysis, and pass/fail criteria
  • Drive issue triage, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions with Controls, Software, Systems, and Avionics teams
  • Contribute to safety- and certification-aligned verification approaches (e.g., requirements-based testing, independence, coverage)
  • Present verification status, risks, and mitigations to engineering leadership and stakeholders
