Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum of one to three years of experience in an industrial retail, inside sales, customer service and/or inventory control related position
  • Detailed understanding of SAP and PROS functionalities (preferred)
  • Must be able to work in a drug-free environment

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the first point of contact with Airgas customers for all welding hard goods and safety supplies related issues regarding Vending Machines and Vendor Managed Inventory bins
  • Perform order entry, process cash and charge orders; assist with reconciliation of cash and bank deposits
  • Conduct and coordinate area customer VMI program including delivery of product, restocking and re-supply as necessary
  • Approve new delivery points for accessibility and safety
  • Monitor customer usage and suggest adjustments to product levels to ensure maximum efficiency and product turn
  • Monitor inventory levels at customer sites
  • Maintain VMI System by cleaning, organizing and re-labeling bins
  • Organize production additions and deletions
  • Implement and maintain the OUTLOOK® Service Model to include ordering, deliveries and Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) programs
  • Establish safe handling practices, efficient order processing & invoicing, initiate & execute cost reduction programs, and report and day-to-day customer interface at customer locations as established by the branch
