Must be able to enter information into an Excel Spreadsheet
Must be willing to shower, change clothing and footwear before entering the biosecure facility
No jewelry except medical ID; body piercings covered by clothing
Must sign agreement to avoid avian species (chickens, ducks, birds, etc.)
Must sign and abide by Company Biosecurity and Animal Welfare Guidelines
Must use safe lifting techniques
Must regularly pull empty farm and setter buggies (~200 pounds), dump cull eggs (~12 pounds), push/pull setter buggies (700-1300 pounds), lift chick boxes (~15 pounds)
Must regularly bend, stoop, and reach above head
Must be able to obtain scissor lift certification
Must be willing and able to perform physical requirements with or without reasonable accommodation

Responsibilities

Assess chicks' comfort level by analyzing vent temperatures and normal traits every hour and a half until chicks are pulled (50%)
Read and record setters and hatcher rooms temperatures (20%)
Assist maintenance to ensure trays are turning correctly on setter buggies
Dump cull eggs
Pull empty farm and setter buggies to the Egg Room
Sort chicks to remove cull birds in accordance with Animal Welfare standards
Euthanize weak/ill chicks in accordance with company policy (30%)
Other duties, responsibilities, and activities may be assigned at any time
