Requirements
- Demonstrates up-to-date expertise in pharmaceutical care, information, and best practices
- Ability to provide expert advice and guidance to others
- Knowledge of company policies, procedures, ethics, integrity, and legal regulations (including Board of Pharmacy statutes, HIPAA, State and Federal guidelines)
- Skills in processing and accurately dispensing prescription orders
- Ability to administer immunizations and other Walmart-developed programs
- Experience in maintaining confidential information, controlled medications, and required documentation
- Proficiency in analyzing reports, interpreting data, implementing loss prevention/safety controls, and overseeing quality assurance reviews
- Strong communication, training, and guidance skills for associates on customer service, compliance, and SOPs
- Ability to build relationships, identify business needs, monitor progress, and adapt to changes
Responsibilities
- Provides pharmaceutical care to customers, including processing/dispensing prescriptions, counseling on health care and medications, and maintaining confidentiality/controlled substances documentation
- Develops, executes, and improves action plans by providing expert advice and aligning efforts to meet customer/business needs
- Supports implementation of business solutions by building stakeholder relationships, determining processes, monitoring results, and adapting to changes
- Models, enforces, and guides associates on customer service techniques to resolve needs/complaints within company guidelines
- Models compliance with company policies/procedures, supports ethics/integrity standards, and uses Open Door Policy
- Ensures compliance with company/legal policies by analyzing reports, implementing controls, overseeing reviews, and directing strategic initiatives
- Provides comprehensive patient care, including dispensing orders, administering immunizations/programs in compliance with regulations
- Creates a culture of patient care safety/accuracy, sets expectations, ensures accountability for SOPs, provides counseling/documentation, analyzes improvements, promotes error reporting, and writes action plans
- Fosters compliance execution environment, communicates/trains on initiatives, implements priorities, monitors billing/HIPAA/SOP adherence, and uses audits for improvements
