Graduate from an approved school of Medical Sonography
American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) certified or registry eligible
Registered sonographer with ARDMS
Ideal candidate in the surrounding area of Spencer and Spirit Lake with a 30-minute on-call response time for both Spencer Hospital and Lakes Regional Hospital
PRN availability for 9-hour variable day shifts - must be flexible
Scheduled on-call rotation for weekend nights and weekends
Rotating on-call holidays

Responsibilities

Responsible for the operation of diagnostic ultrasound equipment to perform diagnostic procedures at a technical level not requiring direct supervision, according to the medical direction of the radiologist
Provide general assistance to the radiologist in interpreting films
Adopt the missions of the Hospital and Radiology Department
Exercise professional judgment in performance of services and maintain a demeanor complementary to medical ethics
Provide appropriate patient care and recognize patient conditions essential for successful completion of the procedure
