Requirements

  • 5-10 years of experience in transfer agency within APAC mutual funds
  • Deep technical knowledge in business model, products, investments, and fund management processes
  • Risk focus and knowledge of the risk inherent in the business and appropriate control framework required taking account of the relevant regulatory environment

Responsibilities

  • Offer oversight and solutions in Transfer Agency across specified locations, serving as a key expert on function and process needs
  • Manage providers' service development to meet global product needs, ensuring a cohesive transfer agency model for BlackRock
  • Lead with third-party service providers and BlackRock business areas; manage transfer agency and related operating model aspects, prioritizing work needed, and represent the function at project meetings
  • Ensure new products are aligned with all relevant BlackRock policies and with relevant regulatory requirements
  • Foster positive connections with Transfer Agency Services teams worldwide to address issues and oversee delivery to APAC clients, including identifying and managing necessary service changes to meet APAC client requirements
  • Work with team and providers to meet BlackRock global oversight standards, implement controls, reports, metrics, and management info
  • Apply transfer agency and operating model knowledge to develop product features, solving operational challenges and risks, advancing concerns to upper management
  • Seek out chances to enhance business procedures necessary for supervision and operational structure resulting from new product characteristics
  • Engage and maintain relationships with key partners across the firm to effectively navigate the global organization
