Requirements
- Hold a valid Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) license in Tennessee (multi-state licensure is an added advantage)
- Possess 1+ years of experience in an outpatient community mental health setting
- Expertise in treating common mental health conditions among college-aged students including depression, anxiety, ADHD, and substance use disorders
- Understand culturally responsive treatment and have experience with diverse patient groups
- Comfortable assessing the urgency of escalating risk scenarios
- Equipped with a quality video camera and a stable internet connection to facilitate virtual care
- Minimum 5 hours of commitment per week (ability to flex based on volumes; weekend and evening availability preferred but not required)
Responsibilities
- Conduct high-quality, culturally competent virtual psychiatric evaluations and medication management appointments
- Conduct biopsychosocial intakes focused on whole-person care with clear diagnostic assessments
- Engage with patients through the collaboration portal
- Collaborate with supervisors, peers, and on-campus treatment providers
- Document clinical encounters for effective care coordination
- Partner with the care navigation team to support students
- Collaborate with campus care teams to create longer-term treatment plans when necessary
