Requirements

  • Capable of lifting and moving up to 70 pounds of product during the shift
  • Capable of lifting 40 pounds plus
  • Capable of operating a forklift
  • Capable of visually inspecting product by the box or pallet
  • Good hand/eye coordination
  • Must be able to work in a very cold environment with slippery surfaces
  • Capable of working in excess of 8 hours per shift and up to 6 or 7 days per week when required
  • Must be able to maneuver freely throughout the plant
  • Must be able to tolerate walking and standing for the duration of the shift
  • Must be able to use hands for lifting, bending, and twisting
  • Must be able to use knives, scissors, and other hand tools
  • Must have a valid driver's license
  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Rehire criteria: minimum waiting period of 180 days and no more than 3 times worked at Tyson Foods

Responsibilities

  • Assisting the supervisor with product flow and process efficiency
  • Assisting the supervisor with product quality
  • Assisting the supervisor with team member training
  • Doing inventory on the yard
  • Keeping cooler and loading dock clean
  • Fueling trucks
  • Back up jockey driver
  • All other duties as assigned by supervisor or lead
