We are seeking a motivated and curious professional with a passion for taxation to join our dynamic environment. As part of a supportive and collaborative tax team, you will share ideas and knowledge openly, engage confidently with internal and external stakeholders, including tax authorities, and manage your responsibilities with independence while receiving necessary training and guidance. Our remote tax team fosters a strong sense of connection and mutual support.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Experience: 1–3 years of experience in tax compliance or accounting.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and file indirect tax returns (e.g., U.S. Sales and Use Tax, Canadian GST/QST/HST).
• Prepare and file direct tax returns (e.g., property tax, gross receipts tax).
• Assist in collecting and analyzing data for corporate income tax reporting.
• Research and interpret indirect tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
• Support tax audits and respond to inquiries from tax authorities.
• Maintain accurate tax records and documentation to support audits and compliance.
• Collaborate with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable teams to ensure proper tax treatment of transactions.
• Contribute to tax planning strategies to minimize indirect tax liabilities.
• Support the tax team with various projects and initiatives.
