Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree (MS preferred) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, with 5-8 years of experience in embedded software within data centers, networking, security, cloud services, or the automotive industry. Proficiency in test methodologies, system-level testing of physical devices, Linux command line, shell scripting, and Python scripting for test coverage is essential. Familiarity with cloud platform QA, E2E testing of cloud-controlled embedded products, networking fundamentals, cybersecurity, common test frameworks (PyTest, Playwright, Behave), test tools (Vector CANoe, VehicleSpy, PEAK, Spirent, IXIA), and tools like JIRA and Jenkins is required. Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills are also necessary.
The System Test Engineer will collaborate with diverse teams to define testing strategies, develop and execute detailed test plans using automation and manual testing, and triage integration issues to identify root causes. They will escalate potential issues to management, track testing activities, and identify areas for test coverage and methodology improvement. The engineer will also act as a release gatekeeper, representing customer feedback and providing constructive input.
