Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Economics or related field, or equivalent experience of at least 6 years in accounting/finance
- Experience in Shared Service Centers
- B2+ English level (fluent in written and spoken English)
- MS Office proficiency: Word, PowerPoint, Outlook - Excel intermediate
- 2+ years in a supervisory or leadership role
- Extensive knowledge of accounts payable processes, systems, and standard methodologies
- Proficiency in accounting software and at least one ERP system (SAP, Oracle, JDEdwards and/or Mainframe)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for working with cross-functional teams and external vendors
- High level of integrity, professionalism, commitment to confidentiality and ethical standards
- Ability to get results with urgency and accountability

Responsibilities
- Supervise and lead the Accounts Payable Team, providing guidance, training, and support for high performance and professional development
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices, purchase orders, expense reports, and payments
- Oversee reconciliation of accounts payable transactions and resolve discrepancies or issues
- Maintain strong relationships with vendors, addressing inquiries and resolving payment-related issues
- Maintain engagement and communication via phone, email, chat or other means with internal and external customers
- Implement and maintain internal controls for compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements
- Monitor and analyze accounts payable metrics and reports to identify improvements and implement standard methodologies
- Collaborate with other departments to streamline processes and enhance efficiency
- Participate in month-end and year-end closing activities, including accruals and reporting
- Assist with audits and provide necessary documentation and support
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of the accounts payable function
- Uphold Thermo Fisher Scientific’s 4i Values and Leadership Competencies in all interactions and activities
