Requirements
- Ability to take on responsibility and lead with empathy and determination
- Completed engineering or chemistry degree
- Preferably several years of professional experience in the chemical industry
- Training as a safety officer (Fachkraft für Arbeitssicherheit) or comparable qualification
- Solid knowledge and experience in environment, health, and safety (HSE), as well as labor, environmental, emergency, and permitting law
- Very good language skills in German and English
Responsibilities
- Cross-location coordination (staff position) and team leadership of the occupational safety department at Westlake Vinnolit
- Active support of the Burghausen site in HSE-relevant topics and projects
- Responsibility for defining, introducing, and updating relevant HSE processes to ensure compliance with legal and other regulatory requirements ("Legal Compliance")
- Responsibility and/or involvement in HSE-relevant projects, including company-wide topics, and HSE reporting
- Representation of Westlake Vinnolit with authorities and associations in selected HSE-relevant areas; data collection and preparation of reports
- Planning, conducting, and documenting internal audits, as well as preparing and accompanying external audits
