Requirements

Preferred field(s) of study: Engineering, Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Urban planning, or related field
Must be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program; recent graduates are also encouraged to apply
Demonstrated enthusiasm for the mission of NYCEDC
Demonstrated written, verbal, and analytical skills
Demonstrated experience in using database and presentation tools, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to multi-task and manage deadlines
Ability to work in collaborative, cross-functional teams
Ability to work full-time, Monday-Friday 9AM-5PM and complete the entirety of the 10-week program

Responsibilities

Assist the Capital staff with tasks involved with any aspect of their day-to-day project management, including but not limited to:
Procurement of the architecture, engineering and construction teams
Conducting existing conditions assessments, programming, and feasibility studies
Supporting estimates and budgeting
Creating schematic designs through construction documentation
Reviewing regulatory submissions
Supporting project close-out
Attend site and other relevant business meetings
Work on special project assignments
