Must be enrolled in an accredited Law School and have completed the first year of studies
Completed at least one year of Law School, including courses in Civil Procedure, Torts and Contracts
Prior experience with Westlaw or LexisNexis
Responsibilities
Develop an understanding of our business, corporate culture and structure to support your work
Contribute creative ideas and strategic approaches in response to changing situations
Complete tasks using both interpersonal and technical skills appropriate to the specific job assignment, while adapting to new or changing situations in a team environment
Obtain practical knowledge and understanding of concepts learned in law school courses such as Civil Procedure, as well as substantive courses such as Torts, Remedies and Contracts
Work with current staff counsel attorneys, as well as paralegals and the Managing Attorney, to actively assist in case handling and document preparation
Assist in drafting and responding to written discovery, drafting law and motion (such as discovery motions, ex parte motions, and other court filings), and preparing with other aspects of formal discovery (deposition outlines, exhibit compilation, etc.)
