Requirements

  • 10+ years experience developing and managing Fracture Control Plans and performing structural analysis using FEM methods
  • Proven leadership in design, analysis, and verification on a major aerospace program
  • Ability to scale analytical rigor to match program maturity and risk
  • Ability to lead cross-functional technical teams and coordinate across hardware and software boundaries
  • Expertise with NASTRAN, ABAQUS, NASGRO or comparable analysis tools
  • Bachelors Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or related field. Master’s or Ph.D. preferred
  • U.S. Citizen and eligible for DoD Secret
  • Located near Denver or Colorado Springs (hybrid with some on-site work required)

Responsibilities

  • Establish and enforce processes and standards ensuring structural integrity across the SBI program
  • Develop and validate structural models and manage structural margins across configuration
  • Define and maintain fracture control, fatigue, creep, and damage tolerance methodologies
  • Establish the processes by which verification and test activities related to structural integrity are performed
