Requirements

Candidates must possess a BS or MS in Engineering, with a PhD being a plus. A minimum of 8 years of Aerospace Engineering experience is required, along with proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or CATIA. Ideal candidates should have at least 5 years of experience in structural analysis and finite element modeling, as well as composite design experience specifically for aerospace. Experience with mechanical and structural testing, including flight tests and flight simulations, is also necessary. Candidates must have an active or the ability to obtain a US Government Secret security clearance and must provide proof of US Citizenship.

Responsibilities

The Structural Analysis Engineer will perform detailed structural analysis of composite materials and finite element models to evaluate their performance under various conditions. They will design and conduct comprehensive tests on composite materials, including mechanical and thermal testing, and analyze test results to validate material models. The engineer will coordinate and execute flight test programs to validate the performance and safety of composite components, collaborating with test pilots and flight test engineers to analyze test data. Additionally, they will develop flight simulation models to assess the performance of composite materials and provide engineering support for the design and development of composite structures.
