  • Experience thriving in large, geographically dispersed enterprise environments
  • Experience with multi-datacenter stretch clusters
  • Deep knowledge on Backup software integration/configuration with commonly used applications (e.g., SQL, Oracle, VMWare, NAS shares)
  • Knowledge of Backup technologies (Data Domain, Avamar, PPDM, Cloud Native)
  • High learning agility and Infrastructure operations/engineering skills
  • Ability to provide technical expertise and leadership

Responsibilities

  • Drive global technical operations of Storage & Backups within Infrastructure Hosting Platform
  • Develop and support engineering and operations of Storage and Backup Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) capabilities on-premises and in Public Cloud
  • Enhance infrastructure availability and reliability through repeatable patterns, innovative architectural designs, and improved observability
  • Guide operations teams and collaborate with platform infrastructure SMEs to deliver daily operations
  • Adopt AI OPS, Event Driven Automation, and robust Observability to prevent fixing the same problem twice
  • Accelerate initiatives in Infrastructure AI OPS automation, cloud IaaS management, and cloud infrastructure as code
  • Transform operations processes using proactive, predictive, and automated AI & Observability capabilities
  • Provide operational support and implementation services for backup and recovery, high availability architecture, and data replication for disaster recovery
  • Lead and coordinate Backup technical and business discussions
  • Assist in troubleshooting and root cause analysis
