  • 3-5 years of experience in statutory accounting and reporting, particularly within industries like insurance, finance, or highly regulated environments
  • Strong knowledge of statutory accounting principles (SAP) and GAAP
  • Proficiency with financial reporting tools and systems, such as Oracle, SAP, or similar
  • Advanced Excel skills with experience handling large datasets and creating reports

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and submit timely and accurate statutory financial statements in compliance with SAP and other relevant regulatory frameworks
  • Handle quarterly and annual filings, ensuring full compliance with state and federal regulatory bodies
  • Reconcile statutory financial reports to GAAP-based financial statements, investigating and explaining variances
  • Stay current with evolving statutory accounting standards, regulations, and compliance requirements
  • Collaborate with auditors during statutory audits, ensuring accurate and timely provision of supporting documentation
  • Monitor regulatory developments and changes to ensure ongoing compliance with local, state, and federal rules
  • Assist in preparing cash flow statements, income statements, and balance sheets in accordance with statutory guidelines
  • Work closely with internal accounting teams to enhance and streamline financial reporting processes
  • Provide detailed financial analysis, offering insights to support decision-making across the business
