Requirements

  • Bachelor's in computer engineering, software engineering, electrical engineering, or related field
  • 4+ years of experience
  • Direct experience in Yocto Linux build environment
  • Fluency with embedded architectural layers including microprocessors, microcontrollers, SoC and other hardware peripherals
  • Preferred Qualifications
  • Direct experience in Yocto Linux build environment supporting the OpenEmbedded (OE) build system
  • Strong proficiency in C/C++ and embedded Linux operating systems
  • GUI development experience
  • Experience using tools for static/dynamic analysis, memory management, code coverage and techniques for analyzing software
  • Strong object-oriented design and development experience
  • Medical device industry experience

Responsibilities

  • Linux BSP development with Yocto Project/OpenEmbedded (OE): Operating system configuration development with development support of applications and drivers
  • Design and develop embedded software using C++, C, Python, and other relevant languages based on defined requirements and architecture
  • Lead resolution of complex design challenges and guide technical decisions
  • Estimate development effort support project scheduling
  • Create and review documentation such as design, implementation, bugs, and test execution
  • Develop and maintain reusable and scalable software components
  • Explore new technologies and assess their application to product development
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with R&D and Quality teams to ensure project success
